I tried getting progressive lenses from Zenni, and even though it took a while to ship and they weren’t the best quality I’d ever seen, I still think it was worth considering for the price compared to going to Costco or another in-person place.

My spouse and I both got prescription sunglasses from LensDirect for about $60 a pair, and the frames started at just $5. The quality has been consistently great, making me wonder why anyone would pay much more elsewhere.

I’ve bought glasses from Eyebuydirect for around $60 on average, and I find their quality and style to be good. In the past, I used to spend between $180 and $260 for frames and lenses at brick-and-mortar stores.

Even with needing a high index lens and other upgrades for my “special stupid” eyes, I pay $120 through Zenni. The last time I checked about 7 years ago, a similar pair would have cost me $800 at a physical store.

I got two pairs of glasses from an online store for $38 total, and they are just as good as the fancy pair I bought at the doctor’s for over $800 (or $600 after insurance). That’s a massive difference in price for similar quality.
