Did travel insurance ever save your trip or money?

    I used to always buy travel insurance, but after a frustrating experience trying to get reimbursed for medical care abroad with a well-known company, I now primarily rely on the trip delay and cancellation policies offered by my travel credit card. However, for riskier trips like mountaineering or motorcycling, I would absolutely get a comprehensive plan.
