My apartment building flooded, and the whole place was condemned. Luckily, I had Lemonade, and they were awesome. They assigned a single agent to everyone affected, so I didn’t have to keep explaining things. He just asked for receipts and paid out the full policy. This experience showed me they could handle a major event efficiently.

I had a terrible experience with Lemonade. After my apartment had a fire, my adjuster was slow to respond and hard to reach. They sent a vendor who didn’t know what to take, and it took weeks before they even sent someone for my furniture. I ended up with nothing for loss of use because they said I hadn’t met my $2500 deductible, even though the initial vendor’s estimate was much higher. Their communication was awful, and I’m switching to State Farm.

I had Lemonade when my apartment flooded. I filed a claim, sent pictures of before, during, and after, and they paid out a few thousand relatively quickly. My experience was pretty positive for this type of claim.

I filed a claim almost a month ago after my motorcycle gear was stolen, and it was under review for three weeks. While it eventually came through, it took about a month in total, and I felt like their communication was really poor. I was frustrated by the lack of updates and felt ignored during the process.

My apartment complex in Dallas, TX, doesn’t even let us use Lemonade. They didn’t specify why, but it makes me wonder if there are underlying issues they’re aware of. It suggests that some property managers might have concerns about their policies or payouts.
