I switched to Lemonade car insurance because their quote was significantly cheaper than my previous GEICO policy. For about 1200 miles a month, Lemonade quoted me $160 a month with better coverage, including towing, compared to $180 a month with Progressive. I have a clean driving history, so the savings were substantial for me upfront, but I haven’t had to file a claim yet to see how that goes.

One person’s monthly premium for their cat jumped from $44 to $77, a substantial increase even though Lemonade had covered some previous issues. This makes me wary of their initial low prices, as they might significantly increase after a while, especially if you file any claims.
